Privacy Policy

Introduction

GIGWIZE LLC, a Utah limited liability company ("GigWize," "we," "us," or "our"), helps organizations staff events and track pay for the people who work them. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and mobile app (together, the "Service"), why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

The Service is used by two kinds of people: organization admins and owners who manage staffing and billing, and staff who are invited to an organization and assigned to event positions. This policy applies to both. The Service is offered in the United States and is intended for people aged 18 or older; it is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Account and contact information — your email address, first and last name, and phone number (required to create and use an account), and an optional profile photo. Email is also how you sign in.
  • Content you submit — messages, announcements, and other text you post within your organization, and any images you upload.
  • Billing information (admins and owners) — when an organization subscribes, you enter payment-card details directly with our payment processor, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number, bank account, or routing number; Stripe handles that. We store your organization's Stripe customer reference and subscription status.

Information we collect automatically:

  • Authentication data — we sign you in with a one-time 6-digit code emailed to you, and store session tokens and a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use passwords.
  • Device and push data — if you enable notifications, we store a push notification token for your device so we can deliver alerts.
  • Technical data — your IP address is processed to rate-limit sign-ups and protect against abuse. We do not link your IP address to your account records; it may appear temporarily in security and server logs.
  • Diagnostics and crash data — we use Sentry to record errors, crashes, and performance data. In the mobile app this includes Session Replay: when an error occurs, Sentry captures a recording of the app screens shown around that time so our engineers can reproduce the bug. We automatically scrub email addresses and phone numbers from these recordings, but other content visible on your screen — such as names, event details, or pay amounts — may be captured. Replays are used only to diagnose and fix problems, are accessible only to our engineering team, are never used for advertising or profiling, and are retained by Sentry for approximately 90 days.

We do not collect your date of birth, home address, government identifiers, payment-card numbers, or special-category data (such as health or biometric data). We do not use advertising trackers or analytics SDKs, and we do not sell your personal information.

How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

  • create and operate your account and authenticate you;
  • provide the core Service — staffing, event assignments, messaging, and pay tracking;
  • send you notifications you have enabled, by email, SMS, and push;
  • process organization subscriptions and billing;
  • provide customer support;
  • secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and debug problems;
  • comply with our legal obligations.

GigWize records and tracks pay amounts; it does not itself pay staff or move money to them. Payment of staff is handled by the organization outside the Service.

Sharing Within Your Organization

The Service is organized by organization. Admins and other staff in your organization can see your name, email, phone number, profile photo, and your pay records. Message and announcement authors are shown to others in the organization. Do not submit information you do not want your organization to see.

Service Providers (Subprocessors)

We share personal information with the providers below only as needed to run the Service. Each processes data on our behalf under its own terms.

  • Neon — database hosting (holds account and Service data).
  • Vercel — website and API hosting.
  • Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
  • Twilio — SMS notifications.
  • Resend — transactional email, including login codes.
  • Inngest — background job processing.
  • Expo — push notification delivery.
  • Sentry — error, crash, and performance diagnostics (including mobile Session Replay, described above).
  • Google Cloud — image storage, and address lookup for events.
  • Upstash — abuse and rate-limiting protection.
  • Crisp — live customer-support chat, on the web for subscribed organizations.

We do not sell your personal information. We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public. If GigWize is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and — on the web, for organizations with support chat enabled — cookies set by Crisp to operate the chat widget. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and because we do not track you across other sites, we do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals.

Data Retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When an account or organization is deleted, we delete the associated personal data within 30 days; copies may persist for a limited time (typically up to 30 days) in backups, and diagnostic data is retained by our providers for approximately 90 days, before being purged on their normal schedules. Login codes and sessions expire automatically.

Your Rights

You can view and update your name, email, phone number, and profile photo in the app, and turn email, SMS, and push notifications on or off in your settings. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at support@gigwize.com. If you are staff, note that your organization keeps its own business records (for example, pay records it is required to retain) — those belong to your organization, not GigWize.

Account deletion. To delete your account, email support@gigwize.com. We will verify the request, then delete your account and associated personal data within 30 days and email you a confirmation. Some information may be retained after deletion where the law requires it, or for a limited period in backups and diagnostic logs as described above.

California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to request access to and deletion of your personal information, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share your personal information (as those terms are defined under California law), and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those permitted. To exercise a right, contact us at support@gigwize.com; we will verify your request before acting on it.

Security

We protect your information with measures including encrypted transport, authenticated access, organization-scoped data isolation, and diagnostic monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and respond to incidents appropriately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
